No Fux Digest is a new weekly look inside my creative process - a snapshot of what I’m working on, what’s inspiring it, and where it’s getting challenging.
what i’m working on
This week, I built this! The website. My vault, my corner of the internet, whatever you want to call it. I’ve been thinking about making a website and starting a more formal media archive, but honestly I get so wrapped up in small details I forget to just go for things sometimes. It’s not perfect (it’s not supposed to be), but it’s here. And it’s real!!!
No Fux Studios is where I’m putting it all, the finished work, fragments, the static in between. Studio Fragments is my very first blog thread, intended to give whoever cares to listen a glimpse into my projects of the week and the processes behind them.
what it’s pulling from
My need for an archive that isn't social media. Obviously I made an Instagram for this page, but besides that I want my efforts to be more accessible than just my physical artwork. I make so much random crap all the time, I need to organize it somehow. So much of this passion stems from the screenplay, a story I started writing in 2019 — a story that’s grown with me, changed me, followed me through every medium since. I want to share that passion that fuels and drives me because you just don't know how thrilling it is.
where it’s getting hard
Trying not to over-perfect something that’s supposed to feel lived-in.Designing a website that reflects both the curated chaos i can identify with and genuine intention is weirdly hard. I want it to feel like a sketchbook and a gallery and a diary all at once. Minimal, but not sterile. Personal, but not performative. I don't expect my website or instagram or new concept to blow up. I don't think I really want it to? I saw a tiktok this week that said something along the lines of "being underground is way cooler than being famous". And something kind of clicked in my head? like hell yeah!
it doesn’t need to be polished. It just needs to be honest.
artifacts from the archive
here are some random fun facts I thought I'd toss in for my first blog post!
- If I were an object, I’d be a Minecraft sword. Obviously
- If I could bottle one feeling and use it as paint it would be that chest and gutwrenching kind of passion. That's what I feel when I think of my screenplay.
- If my screenplay had a scent it would be marlboro reds.
- If my art could talk back, it’d slap me across the face. I’d probably deserve it.
